Our story
It began around a coffee table.
Forged & Refined Ministry didn't start in a building. It started in the living room of Homer and Rosie — with a few young adults, an open Bible, and a shared hunger for something real.

The living room years
What started as a small young adult Bible study slowly filled the couches, then the floor, then the hallway. People kept coming — not for a program, but for the presence of Christ they were finding in each other.
Growing beyond the walls
As the community grew, so did the needs. Groceries showed up on doorsteps. Late-night phone calls turned into prayer sessions. Mentorship happened over coffee, in truck cabs, at kitchen tables. The ministry was already happening — we just needed to give it structure.
Becoming a ministry
Forged & Refined is now stepping into its next season as a non-profit ministry. Our mission is simple: to feed the hungry, disciple the willing, and equip a generation to walk faithfully with Jesus.
The name
Scripture speaks of God as a refiner — a fire that burns away what isn't ours to carry and forges us into who He made us to be. That's the story of every person in this community. That's the story we're still writing.
"See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction."
